Welcome to Clarksburg Classical Academy, a tuition-free charter school offering a classical education to students in and around Harrison County. Our instructional model follows the trivium and is based on phases of student development (Grammar > Dialectic > Rhetoric). A classical education involves a deliberate return to the timeless objective of education: empowering students to think and learn independently by providing them with the essential tools of learning. We teach students to think critically, learn systematically, and communicate effectively. We are excited about the future of our school and eager to get to know you and your child.

What is a charter school?

All charter schools are tuition-free public schools—open to all students, regardless of their zip code. The charter school model empowers teachers to provide innovative, high-quality instruction and gives them the autonomy to design a classroom that fits their students’ needs. Charter schools are led by dynamic principals who have the flexibility to create a school culture that fosters student performance and parent satisfaction. Charter schools are held accountable to the performance standards they agree to in their charter and by their communities.

Founded in 2014, ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors. The leadership team at ACCEL Schools has a combined 1000+ years of experience as global school management operators with expertise in curriculum research and design, assessment, student support services, and education consulting.
